You may have set security or privacy settings for the friends on your Facebook friend list. You need not go to Privacy settings to view your Facebook profile as how others see it.

You can now instantly view it while viewing your Facebook profile.

Click on View As..

Type the name of the person and hit Enter on your keyboard. From the screenshot below you would see that this person will not able to write on my Facebook wall. Likewise, you can play around with your privacy settings and see how others see your Facebook profile.

Click on Public to view how your Facebook profile looks to the public (those who are not on Facebook, or the ones who have not added you on Facebook).
